Stop using jpg for god's sake. Use png, it looks better and takes up less space.

rogbogglesworth- PNG actually takes up more space, but yeah. JPEGs are ugly as fuck.

For illustrations with small palettes, such as the typical mspaint, png can actually be smaller.

Really? Hm, didn't know that.
Either way, always save your drawings as a png [or save them as a gif using an external program like irfanview, but that's too much work]. Paint's jpg and gif compression sucks.
