Little did the toaster know, that was the last blueberry pop tart he would ever see.

My old desktop printer looked so happy doing its job, I didn't want to break its heart by telling it about the recall of all yellow and purple paper.

I love how the device had a gradual progression from blissfully ignorant to downright evil.

Lack of blueberry poptarts does dark things to innocent appliances...

What's up with the funky backgrounds that line up with the purple/yellow pattern? Is the printer making the background purple and yellow or is it eating purple and yellow and making it white?

Frozzle, I love your images in many ways and I don't mean to dis them or somehow police TSG or cramp anyone's style. I just think that a lot of people are confused by one aspect of them - whether or not the background is part of the foreground. Like demons will be "moldy", people will be "butter sculptures". Peace!

Hi Sandra,
I found an edge with my drawings to utilize colorful backgrounds and the occasional hollow figures. Some love 'em some hate 'em. I suppose it does confuse the viewers sometimes. But I like to do it because it sometimes gets wacky results and I do it because of the artistic value too. To answer your question about my printer, I used some abstraction with the background and the printed paper. The printer is making the background colorful with purple and yellow. That was kinda the idea.
